Founded in Chicago in 1982, Blacklight International Film Festival returns, including a Media Festival component of workshops and discussions on the future of Storytelling,

Blacklight began at Chicago Filmmakers, presenting the new generation of filmmakers growing out of the LA Rebellion, Black Film Workshops in England with a special focus on African Cinema.

Blacklight returns to engage a new generation of films and filmmakers from all over the black diasporsa. Exhibiting new film works, exploring and discuss Artificial Intelligence, digital storytelling, virtual and augmented reality, volumetric cinema, interactive fiction and the latest in black video game programming, content and design.
